Qatar National Day
Qatar National Day is a celebration of independence in Qatar on Dec 18th. They celebrate much like we do in the USA on July 4th. All over Doha they are setting up for parades and fireworks. The Qatar flag is lining all the major roadways and all sorts of trinkets are for sale with the flag.
We will be back in the USA for the day itself so we have a few early pictures. Avery's friend Nora gave her an outfit to wear for National day. Here is Avery modeling it. It is beautiful!

اليوم الوطني لقطر is a national commemoration of Qatar's unification in 1878. It is celebrated annually on 18 December. The holiday was established by a 21 June 2007 decree of the then Crown Prince and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
