Tony and I ventured down to the Souq Waqif yesterday morning and we were so excited that Brian had the day off and could meet us there!
We had breakfast and then did a little shopping for Michael, Max, and Stacie. Along the way, we found some beautiful macaws and the owner was nice enough to let us hold them!
Of course, we couldn't come to the souq without seeing the camels.
And the falcons....
And the Emir's Arabian horses. This the the Emiri Diwan in the background. The Diwan is the place that is where the Emir works, has meetings, greets diplomats from other countries, and where the parliament meets.
This picture is the National Mosque. There are mosques everywhere here, but this one is just next to the Diwan building.
