Chase was selected along with 15 others among all the 2nd and 3rd grade students to represent ACS at the international schools outdoor athletics meet yesterday.
He was so excited! It was held about 45 minutes away at Al Khor International School. All the international schools from Doha were represented (about 12-15 in total). We got to watch a couple of kids that Chare has met through baseball on the American School of Doha team.
Chase was chosen to run the 4x4 400 m relay as the 4th leg and do the standing triple jump. He did fantastic! We don't know his individual results yet since the meet ended so late. They were going to tally up all the times/distances and give the awards to the coaches. They ran in heats but there wasn't time to then have finals so it is all based on time.
While ACS didn't place in the overall score, all the kids did great and had so much fun with all the competition. Bobby and I were amazed at how well organized the hosting school were. It was executed as well as a major high school track meet.
