Student Led Conferences

ACS-Doha does something so cool at the end of each school year!  It is called Student Led Conferences.  Each child gets an hour appointment with their parents to show off everything they have learned all year.  The kids work really hard to prepare a portfolio that includes items/work from every subject including specials and foreign languages.  After showing their portfolio in the classroom they can take you through the school to all the specials classes and show off!  Our kids each went back to back so that Bobby and I could spend an hour with each of them while the other two waited in the "sibling waiting play area".  Bobby and I are so proud of everything all three of them have accomplished this year.  I would love to have the schools back home do something like this at the end of the year!  We took videos of each kids doing something special - Chase speaking Arabic and doing gymnastics, Natalie speaking Spanish, and Avery singing the "A" phonics song.  Unfortunately, our wi-fi is so slow that we still can't get video to upload to this blog.  Here are the photos we took from the day.

We were so involved listening to all of Natalie's stuff in the classroom that we ran short on time.  Sorry for less pictures here, but we were just so engrossed at all our super talented girl had to say.  She has become a fantastic writer!

Great job!!

Once again, I think this is such a great idea.  Our three kids were all so proud of everything they were able to show us and we are so proud of them!
